The New Word to Describe the Life of a Writer

conundrumnal: The state of being in a persistent paradox; A situation presenting a consistent conundrum

American Politicians  spend too much time raising money. They don’t have time to make good policy, or to care how it affects us.

If I want to spend more time writing, I am going to have to figure out how to sell my book, but if I spend my time selling it, I won’t have time to write. One of the things I like to do is make up new words. There are a few in my book. Today I want to introduce you to the word conundrumnal, because this problem of having to spend time selling books and not being able to write them is conundrumnal. I’m not saying this is original thought, but I don’t see that word in use. Certainly not in dictionaries.

My book is now in the Premium Catalogue at Smashwords, which means I can officially stop calling myself a Writer and start calling myself an Author if I feel like it. It might be a little pretentious,  but probably not presumptuous. It would be pretentious to call myself an author if I started referring to myself as such before at least selling a thousand books. You get the point though. I wrote a book, seventy two thousand plus words.

Below is a list of ways people all over the world can get my book if they find clicking the link above to be too easy. I am intrigued by this. What a great system Smashwords made. Technically, pretty much everyone on Earth can get my book now. What if they did? Then I could spend more time writing.

Book Titles: I laughed into mine

Book Title

At some point during the third or fourth revision I was searching the internet for music, just trying to relax an overstimulated mind and maybe find some inspiration. I was listening to Beatles songs that are somewhat rare, like demos and outtakes. I heard the book title in an interview with John Lennon and Paul McCartney, where the interviewer was asking them questions about youth culture, and what, if any good they thought they could bring to the youth of their era.

Many people try to be conscious about what’s important, and what, if any good they might do. We all think too much, and wouldn’t it be a lovely world if we could all settle our heads with more music and humor, and other good things. The original, working title for this book was ‘Stellar Gas’.

You can find the entire, very much worth the listen Lennon and McCartney interview on Youtube

This is an excerpt:

Interviewer: Let’s stick to the young people, and to the areas that you think are most fruitful to try to help in. I mean, again, I asked before where you thought young people were going and you said maybe there’ll be a reaction to what they have now. How does this relate to the real world, as you see it, to issues of war and peace and family and country?
John Lennon: All issues are relative. So it relates like that. It’s all just relative to each other. War… and vegetables… It’s all just relative, you know. So there’s relativity and absolute, and that’s how it relates.
Paul McCartney: That’s great Johnny.
Interviewer: That’s kind of hard though, for some people, to interpret you.
John Lennon: Well, if they can’t interpret it, maybe they will later, or come to their own conclusions, but that’s the way I think it is.

War and Vegetables: A Chronicle of the Last Gas Station is Available

corporatism-rigged-economy-war-vegetables-Preface: The devastation left in the wake of corporatism in much of the world was a war zone Even in the US it seemed like a war zone. The rights of individuals, their properties, communities, and small businesses were under attack, not mere metaphor in some cases. Solutions, some so simple, were suppressed in favor of archaic, toxic, and inefficient technologies Politicians enabled these policies and the results, and they worked a TV like a dancer’s prop, feigning opposition There were so many of us, and so few of them. Somehow they made us feel powerless. Perhaps it was the weaponry the constant trauma of fear porn, and the fake food, all helped along by the too slowly dissipating apparitions of TV projection. Regardless, it was a con. The Millenials were next, with the Public Record in the palms of their hands. www.war&veggies.com

John Lennon, purposefulness and consciousness in decision making

I derived the title for my first book War and Vegetables from an interview with John Lennon and Paul McCartney, where the interviewer was asking them questions about youth culture, and what, if any good they thought they could bring to the youth of their era. At some point during the third revision I was searching the internet for music, just trying to relax an overstimulated mind and maybe find some inspiration. I was listening to Beatles songs that are somewhat rare, like demos and outtakes.

My first thought about the poignancy of the interview in relation to the themes in my book was that it was serendipitous and some kind of cosmic coincidence. I realized that this is always a theme, in and for any generation. Many people try to be conscious about what’s important, and what, if any good they might do. There is nothing serendipitous about it. We all think too much, and wouldn’t it be a lovely world if we could all settle our heads with more music and humor, and other good things. The original, working title for this book was ‘Stellar Gas’.

The use of artistic license in writing

I’m explaining that I am a novice astronomer and that some my use of astronomy in my book War and Vegetables is artistic license, and incongruous for effect. The order in which the events in the book occur are accurate per month, but not per year. Some of the events would not happen in succession in the same year but do occur in the months that they are presented in different years.
I think a book where the year jumps around according to astronomical events would be a lot of fun; The events as time signatures indicating flashbacks and flash-forwards. I however, am not the writer interested in doing that.  At least not right now. Maybe some genius will steal the idea from me, if it has not already been done.
So, for Dr. Tyson, and/ or any purists, sorry. It’s not out of disinterest or disrespect.
Try to have a really good day anyhow. :)

I hope you’ll visit my book website,

Thanks for reading!

Bombshell: CDC whistleblower goes further: mercury causes autism

by Jon Rappoport

September 4, 2014

www.nomorefakenews.com

The brief explosive video is posted at autismmediachannel.com on the home page: “CDC Whistleblower William Thompson on Thimerosal.”

Beyond admitting to fraud in a 2004 CDC study that exonerated the MMR vaccine, Dr. William Thompson, a CDC scientist, asserts there is a connection between mercury (thimerosal) in vaccines and autism.

Thompson states that giving a vaccine containing mercury to a pregnant woman is something he would never do.

Couched in science-speak, Thompson winds up his remarks with this: “There is biologic plausibility right now to say thimerosal causes autism-like features.”

For a scientist at the CDC to make this admission, after millions and millions of dollars have been spent by that agency and the US government to conclude mercury has no connection to autism…it’s extraordinary, to say the least.

The PR mantra declaring thimerosal safe…

Oh my gosh, how awful. I have not watched the news today but I wonder how many people got trampled. What a lot of embarrassing weirdness about our “culture”.

They are not relevant until they wait in line overnight to buy shit they don’t need, with borrowed fake money that they don’t really have, from some offshore private bank, owned by people who have utter contempt for us. Then, the day after the day they are supposed to be thankful for Family, they abandon them to buy them garbage, so all they can afford to feed them is genetically mutated food. A Day of Focused Moments: March 20, 2014

A Day of Focused Moments

The Day of Focused Moments is a day for focusing, for just a few moments several times per day, on the things that keep us healthy, sane and grateful. This is timed via Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so that as many people possible are having focused moments simultaneously.  (Find your time conversion)

“No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.” The human mind is a form of energy, a part of it being spiritual in nature. When the minds of two people are coordinated in a spirit of harmony, the spiritual units of energy of each mind form an affinity, which constitutes the power of the Mastermind.” ~Napoleon Hill

The Determination of Value: Greed Destroys, Business Builds

When I walk along a busy street, like many people who have spent years of our lives working, providing and creating value, I have this tendency to see a cityscape as an event through time, rather than a moment in time. I see moments of the past overlain with subsequent, logical, methodical and purposeful activity which was the foundation for the seeming chaos of the moment. My experience allows me this pleasure. I can understand the events by some that led to the experiences of many, and that is ultimate value…… (click the link on the title line to keep reading.)

Death Threats and Paramilitary Distract from GTac’s Dirty Secrets

Wisconsin Citizens Media Cooperative

July 29, 2013 by Barbara With

After Gogebic Taconite (GTac) stumbled over the illegal hiring of a paramilitary militia to protect their drill sites in the Penokee Hills, new diversions are being created to draw attention away from the damage the out-of-state mining company has incurred during the core drilling phase of the permitting process.

GTac is owned by Chris Cline, the billionaire coal miner who has been cited 25 times for violating water quality standards at four mines, including 19 times at the Deer Run Mine in Illinois. This would be his first iron ore mine. GTac has insisted it will rehire Bulletproof Security because of their need for protection after protesters confronted them at the drill site in an isolated incident on June 11.

Last week, a Facebook group that calls itself Wisconsinites for Safe Mining posted death threats against four women who openly oppose Scott Walker and GTac…

Moths hover at a safe distance from the orange, smoldering, glow.

Cylinder of heat rises, wafting waves of smoke. Juniper. Like myst. Anointing everything it breathes on. Leaves. Moths. Pinon needles. Night. Me.

Snatch of Pinon hurried onto the embers. Juniper and Pinon encapsulate stars. Infuse through moon. Nearly full. Casting shadows. Casting light. It can’t hide tonight.

Flurry of moths flit above my head. I close my eyes and flit. Gliding. Basking. Enjoying warmth. Laughing with my friends at our good fortune.

I open my eyes. Something is moving in the grass.

River. Bubbling. Flowing. Peace. Slow hiss of coals whisper. Crickets. Such mantra.

Who reviews books for pubications and websites?

I Am Your New Television: Ok, you can stop thinking now.

Facebook is obviously NOT the place to promote something that requires 20 minutes and some thinking, even if there are pictures to go with it and the people who do take the 20 minutes to read it really enjoy it. I am looking for places to promote my episodic graphic novel, do you know of any sites that cater to readers and thinkers?

I am starting to use goodreads and have gotten a couple of reviewers lined up.. any others?

Here’s what I am looking to get some reviews on.

Undulation

I Am Your New Television: Ok, you can stop thinking now.

The Universe is a mind of minds. Every cell in your body is communicating right now and you have no idea what they are saying. Your mind is capable of volitional thought. Thought itself is a frequency of energy. You have a unique consciousness that has manifested with every decision you made. You are a conscious being in a swarm of undulating energy, most of which your volition is perfectly capable of commanding… shake it baby shake it.
