That First Book Review

It all takes time, but I received my first book review.. and also a 5 star-rating from someone who bought it on Amazon.. so I am getting at least somewhere.

Hoping someone with a little better sense of humor can review it, but this one was a THREE out of FOUR possible stars.

[Drumroll]

[Following is the official OnlineBookClub.org review of “War and Vegetables” by Robert Run.]
3 out of 4 stars Review by sindhu75063

War and Vegetables by Robert Run mainly focuses on the hardships faced by the middle class during modern day corporatism. The story begins with Paul Poznan, who has failed college, going on a road trip to his hometown, Sunny Knoll, Wisconsin, with his girlfriend Alexandra Chase, called Alex. Because of his academic fail, his girlfriend’s parents, Ross and Sherry Chase, are concerned about Alex’s decision to quit school and stay with Paul. Yet Alex comforts them, saying that Paul has chalked out a plan (Actually, it’s Alex who has the plan, she’s the Alpha -RR). Upon arriving home, they contact Paul’s childhood friend, Spiro Young, known as Mint, who runs Stellar Gas, a gas station set up by both his (Michael and Angel Young) and Paul’s parents (Keith and Valerie Poznan). They find out that Keith would be meeting them soon and ponder about the decisions he might ask them to make.

Theirs being a gas station stocked with all the essential groceries as well, the trio finds out that a lot of sale has gone down because of supermarkets and the like. Hence, they agree to Keith Poznan’s idea of hosting a Farmer’s Market. The rest of the story focuses on their planning and preparation for farmers to meet directly with the consumers and not to be cheated by any middlemen. In this process, they definitely find more helpers (their friends and the local community) and well-wishers than haters. But even a few haters can spoil all the fun.

If you are a writer who would like to share the story of getting your first review, please contact me and I’ll add your story to the book blog at warandvegetables.com, include links to your site and the book that was reviewed.

Thus, the story of War and Vegetables is one of determination and perseverance. It is a tale which inspires any person to become a successful businessperson whilst being a helpful and caring one. It shows that even when you want to be on top, you must be considerate to the ones holding your ladder for you. It also relates the struggle faced everyday by the agriculture class, working to make our lives healthier and happier. In other words, it was a bridge between age old professions and technical advancement.

It was really hard to rate this book. The fact was that it was a real page-turner. But: one, I found too many grammatical errors and way too much unnecessary capitalization [I tried to send them a revised version but was unable to, I explain why I capitalize the Natural World in the Preface, RR); two, the climax wasn’t as mind-blowing as I expected it would be; and three, I felt that there was some inappropriate foul language used. Hence, I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I feel really bad because it was overall a good read and deserved 4 stars just for the flow.

Little explanations about Mint’s inventions and Paul’s spontaneous writing adds a personal touch to the book, highlighting the fun excursions we have within our own selves. Overall, I believe that this book is an inspiration for all those who feel depressed in life and are unwilling to take a different path. You never know, a new path might be just a little prettier.

Not bad!

I like an honest book review. Any book review is good because at least someone is reading your stuff. -RR

My first week of Nanowrimo is over and I am already better for it

Nanowrimo 2013  Word count is at 11218 right now.

Yesterday I wrote that I am going to tell you today about why I do not think I am going to get into the two-week doldrums. But the thing is that I did not get to the point where that comes into play, so by tomorrow I should be ready to get into that. What happened this session is that I got so into the relationships between my main characters that I was having too much fun to get into the next phase. So it was a bit more setting up, some further character development and a few anecdotes.

Finally, please let me show you this Nanowrimo Pep Talk by Malinda Lo. She is accurate, this is what it is like to sit down and write. It can be loathsome to get set up for the day, but once you get going it is very stimulating.

Come bother me tomorrow.. cheers.

These are innate understandings that are conditioned out of us, and people are re-learning them

you sense there is a waking up happening, and you do not have to be a guru or avatar to understand these things. these are universal laws that are already a part of consciousness

I was offered the opportunity to get a free Micro Touch Razor if I wrote a review, and here is my honest review for the Micro Touch

I tried this razor, you might have seen it on TV, it is called the “Micro Touch Razor“. I thought it was interesting, I was allowed to have one as a promotion in exchange for writing an honest review, and this is my honest review. As in, what I really think.

What I know now, that I did not know before I used the Micro Touch is multi-blade razors are a SCAM. Just think about all that plastic in the landfills from disposable razors. That kind of thing really bothers me. It’s just something they do to get you to buy more things and it is awful because it fills up the landfills. I probably have a pickup-truck full of plastic razors just from myself in the landfills and I am just one guy. So think about one pick up truck for 10 million different guys, just from my generation. That’s ten million pick-up trucks full of scammy plastic razors all in the landfills for no good reason. How terrifying.

So let’s talk about the shave. I remember that my dad had something like this. It worked the exact same way. You turn the bottom and the blade carriage opens and there is a blade in there. I used to play with it because it was fun and mechanical and interesting, because little kids like that stuff. This one is actually nicer than my dad’s because he is really cheap, but don’t tell him I said that. The other thing that is noticeably different than my dad’s is the blades. These blades are so much thinner than may dad’s blades were. Then I opened the package with all the blades they give you, I think I have enough blades for at least a year, and I have to shave a lot because I am really manly, they gave me 24 blades. I noticed how thin the packages with each blade are. I  am going to be really straight with you here, Micro-Touch blade that is wrapped inside the outer paper envelope is thinner than the paper. I could not believe it. I think that is a part of the success of this product.

It’s the thinness of the blade. That’s how you get a close shave, not with a lot of blades, but with one, super sharp, super THIN blade. That’s the deal with the Micro Touch. So now when I am shaving, you know how it goes right? I’m standing up there in the bathroom, looking in the mirror, and I have this kick-ass, macho 50’s looking razor, like when men were men, and this gorgeous woman comes up and puts her arms around my shoulders and then takes her hand and strokes my face and squeezes her cheek against mine. There is this little bit of shaving cream that gets on her face and I don’t tell her about it because it’s funny and cute, and then.. well, you know what happens.

I am not some kind of hawker, I had a chance to test this thing out if I promised to write a review, and this is “what is”, it’s my honest thoughts about this razor. I won’t be using a different razor than this one. If I lose it, I will buy another one, and if I am getting on a plane where they won’t let you take razors and metal things because of the paranoia conditioning, then I will get one of the new waxed cardboard disposable razors for my trip and have them sent to where I am going, and I will wish I have my Micro Touch with me.

Micro Touch website product shotI’m not even getting paid to link to their website, that’s how good t is.

Crazy out to lunch hillbillies.

As much as these crazy satanic weirdo hicks i had the unfortunate opportunity to know for a while were moronic, and insane,  and just absurdly funny as hell to observe, they are getting cut out of my book. There just isn’t room, and they are strange, but not worth it. Here is a thing that is based on real events with changed names that was maybe going in there. Zelda is an 80 year-old woman who twisted her kids into pretty close to animals, and Joseph is a dude they were unable to rope into their sick world. Once they realized he was not going to be taken advantage of, they cut him loose.

I think there are enough in books about crazy wacked-out hillbillies. Besides that they give good country folks a bad name.

Zelda: I hate Christmas, I would NYEVER have a KRISSStmas tree. I hate KRISSHTians. They make me SYICK.

Joseph: Yule trees have been around a lot longer than Christmas trees. The season means a lot of things. You don’t have to associate it with christians if it bothers you so much. What is the point in focusing on things that upset you? If you hate christians so much, why do you go to that Church and sell your poetry to them? Why are you involved in all that stuff if you hate them so much?

Zelda: Because they’re STYOOPID, and they’ll buy ENNything. They’ll do ENNything they’re told.

Joseph:  I’m not a christian either, I don’t turn the other cheek, or love everyone unconditionally, or sacrifice myself for people, and I don’t waste my time hating them and tricking them. I’d rather just trade my skills and be an honest, valuable person. You go to the food pantry, and you volunteer there. I don’t get it. You mean you’re just using them? Like “infiltrating” them or something? Wouldn’t it just be easier to be honest about how you feel and who you are instead of spending so much time with all these people you hate so much? Are there more of you involved like that or is it just you alone? Why do you tie yourself to something that makes you feel so bad? Just to fill your basement with free food? Really?

Zelda: You need to just mind your own business and never mind what I do.

Joseph: You’re the one who told me all this stuff, I wouldn’t know about it if you had not told me. It’s pretty weird. You just do this to yourself you know. You don’t have to be so damn sad. All you do is give this thing you hate more power over you when all you have to do is walk away and be honest.

Zelda: Shut up.

Politics and other crimes

If you hate politics, you’ll love Hank

The Rending of the Veil

It’s not romantic.

Heading headlong into the teeth of this anticivilization at a time of apparent increasing rending of the veil.

It’s not like a mission, or a “calling” but all too often the feeling that one’s own mysticism and hope emerges to crush what is…

What is, is, after all.

So many peers, mentors and studies have packed away. They have “prepared”.

It’s the starkness of “alone” that draws the romance.

Again, we are stalwarts, we are the first immortals.

We do in fact have one another, we are not alone, physics won’t allow it, despite the delusion of “the collective” and the projection of “the one.”

There is the Universe in each cell; there is a sun alive in each snowflake at midnight.

Television, the local newspapers, lofting lazy, slow, turgid turd zeppelins at the twinkie addicted cabbage patch faces overwhelmed by the illusion of depth, awestruck by the spectacle.

Simultaneously, vast numbers divorce themselves from belief. They don’t necessarily know what’s real, but for certain they know what is -not-

Pulling, peeling, wrestling their barnacle selves from the ship, the battlestar, like small children discovering themselves again; rediscovering lost recesses long since thrashed, beaten and bruised by Public School; conformity, ostracization; Church; Television; Drugs.

The Pineal hood winked shut, blinks for the first time since vaccination; Fluoridation. Calcification reverses, it’s the veil, it rends, the divide widens, it’s not personal, certainly not political, hence the new Police State.

what the pineal glad really looks like.

what is

Waking up is never good for those who rule the sleep.

You took a nap after your energy drink, your bag of chips and cheesewiz, of course you did… the long slow infestation of cancer needs a moment. Not even that coca-cola can help you now.

We do love you, be clear about that, just because we do not wait for you to love yourselves before we make our moves does not mean you are not loved. We call to you, you hear it, you don’t know what it is. You fell open, it landed there, you threw it out the moving window with your MacDonald’s garbage.

Another may come along, you never know… I suppose.

Karma falls like a Light Brigade as long stretches of decompression integrate with post-deconstruction.

Deconstruct the language; subtract the inane politics and conjecture.

Nuggets of decompression filter their way down through the compost-peat culture…

Form the first sentence of your -LIFE-

I faced the hill and made my claim, my declaration; my command.

-So here is the point: Be a net Gain-

Anticivilization defines wealth as the accumulation of currency with the least possible effort.

“Something for nothing!” is the call of the Oprah rich, from behind the screen; the bubble, pin pop-ready; the screen, the appliance, applied to the smooth brain couch grooves.

“Because I didn’t ask to be born!” is the response from the other end of the plug, from the couch, from the waiting room, from the living room. The smell of French fries waft universally.

Creates nothing; vacuous realms; nothing real.

Real value is the creation and production of the most possible, using the least possible resource.

Exponential returns.

The chair caners; the recyclers; the small farmers; the hunters; the gatherers; the fishermen; the weavers; the wheelwrights. Much using little, not little using much. Not stimulation over edification. Real capital instead; value instead; Honesty instead.

“You have to create something”

These five words can save your life.

“I have to create something”

The truth that rings your heart like the bell.

“I have to create something”

Here is your Mantra, winking hoods.

“I have to create something”

No money down

Eyes, ears, wits; experience accumulated for that sky of cold suns at night, for the soft place, for a cache of hot and clean.

A summer for a firepit, all the chamomile and nettle with morning dew for a dry sump.

And the hill to boot; to shoe; to ski; to gather; for sweets, for medicine for the alter, sans altar.

The deepest honed arrow can’t provide this. Create something.

They call: “Something for nothing!”

Our response: “Something FROM nothing!”

Hands; eyes; mete; analyze, diagnose prescribe and implement; detail; finish.

It is value exchange; it is not a sentence, a deal, a plea; a desperation.

We don’t walk away from this.

We gather wind.

Weave the cloak

Manifest the mist

And again, the gem, the gorgeous gem Superior where I buried my face

In the roots

Into the banks

Where I left my salt

Where I recognized home

Who she is

Where I am

My future of breath

To hold this magic

Volitional Living Consciousness

Never for granted

Only ever grateful

Grandfather plucked from his place, like a feather.

Grandson lands… and leaves, softly, for the Net Gain.

Net Gain: That’s the point. Leave more than you took, you have that magic you neo-cortex. Rise to meet the beasts.

We sing across the divide, like waning whales across a sea. We call, we sing, we spin and dive and splash, it is in slow motion.

It’s there, on their sonar.

It sounds vaguely familiar; they do not recognize the song, barely the voice.

Their heart fell out, they picked it up, embalmed it with religion; with hope; sold it.

They hear us sing, they can’t place the sound, it’s on the tips of their tongues.

The benefits of finishing NaBloPoMo

That’s right, I finished it. I did NaBloPoMo for the whole month of November. What is is basically is you choose a month and make one post per day each day that month.  It was great. I will do it again, and there are several reasons why I am grateful for the experience.

  1. Discipline. If you say you are going to do something, but then you do not.. you look like you can’t keep your word.
  2. Discipline. You force yourself to find things to write about, or revamp old writing.
  3. Spur of the moment, on the fly, improvisational writing.
  4. Writing plateau’s. When you write every day, you hit plateaus where you see marked improvements in yourself. This post is an example. It’s one of my nicer posts for the month but it only took me a little over as half hour to finish. It was one draft, a spell check, and that’s pretty much it. Not long after that was this one. Really quickly, I think I relayed  some cognizant points
  5. Because writer’s write.
  6. Networking and promoting. I made a decision in October that it was time for me to stop pretending, and  write professionally. I am now getting paid to edit and write some things, and I am having a graphic novel illustrated and published. My stuff is going to be available electronically and also printed. I have read many books where my talent at least matches the author. Why shouldn’t I?

And, during this time I have also stayed organized enough to stick with my novel called Stellar Gas. Now that NaBloPoMo is finished, and I am moving in to a new place. I will have more time for that.

If you want to see all 30 posts.. just go right here.

I will not be doing December, or probably even January.. but it will definitely happen again.

Christians kill with doctrine instead of simply following Jesus’ instructions

“For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans do the same? And if you salute your brothers only, what do you more than others? do not even the publicans think they are special?” -Jesus

(Publicans were the ultimate hated people in Jewish culture at that time, because the only job they could get was collecting taxes for the Romans, who were afraid to enter the militantly independent Jewish communities. Publicans were just despised for being traitors and sellouts. Publicans did not create or provide any value, all they did was take from their people and give it to the Govt.)

In the  Sermon on the Mount,  Jesus gave very clear instructions. And they are unconditional instructions, toward unconditional love. They are instructions, and it is brilliantly and obviously simple. Very often, in fact most of the time, people create and fabricate all sorts of excuses; Platonist “forms” (LINK), what they call “doctrines” in order to justify not following the instructions; the very simple instructions. When people do not feel comfortable, they create -excuses-, or -doctrines- to justify keeping god’s blessings to themselves and excluding other people because they live in fear and are frankly, just plain greedy. Your Doctrines are excuses to not follow the instructions.

Jesus did not -ever- say anything remotely like “Feed the hungry, if they convert to that religion and doctrine you created”. Or, “Give drink to the thirsty if they get baptized, or let you have their resources.”  There are no ifs ands or buts about it. People who think they are supposed to get involved in all the little details are deluding themselves into playing god. Follow the instructions, that is the role. People who get into all the little details about doctrine, and look for any excuse they can find in some other part of scriptures to -justify not following the instructions- are playing god. But guess what, they are not kidding anyone. They live in fear.

If you do a word study for the Sermon on the Mount, go ahead and look at the word “if”.  Jesus uses the word not to justify conditions to make  someone comfortable, but to strengthen the instructions. In other words,  you do not use the word “if”, to determine your obedience to the  instructions, you use if to reinforce them. “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Follow the instructions, all the details will work themselves out.. That is why Jesus said in this sermon “Judge not”;  Essentially, “you ain’t that smart”. That is why Jesus was so down on the Pharisees who he also mentioned in the Sermon. All through the New Testament Jesus just lambasted the Pharisees because they would petition the power (implicit violence and coercion) of the Roman Government to enforce their piety in the Jewish Community. Similar to the way some Christian factions today try to use the power (implicit violence and coercion) of the US Government to force others into paying for things they may not believe in, to enforce lifestyles, or make judgement calls on other people they know very little about in order to justify untoward policy, exclusion, or prejudice. Both the right wing and left wing Christians get into this Pharisaic practice in different ways. The Founders of the US were so smart for not allowing the establishment of any one religion so it could dominate the others… so smart.

right out fucking loud, you're a dog

“Unless your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” -Jesus

Jesus seems to always speak to the “I”, never to the “we”. The titles of the sections are such as “Jesus spoke to the Multitudes”, but when he spoke, he spoke to the individual, because he wanted people to take individual responsibility for their actions. This is another reason doctrines are dangerous, because they get people into groupthink, which, because of our flawed nature becomes “us vs. them”, and it becomes an “external authority”, not the authority of your heart, your “I-ness” that Jesus speaks to.

Groupthink creates a lazy atmosphere, where people can defer their responsibility to the “greater good” determined by the tricksters. That is why Pharisaic groups get so much power, because they create Platonist “ideals” or “forms” (different Plato link) they are able to convince the people they have tricked into following them to conform to. These ideals and forms are -not real- and do not reflect  -what is-  in objective reality. These forms and ideals are  only imaginations from the minds of people who use religion and politics to control others. The right wing christans want to control everyone’s body.. which is -really- bizarre, how the HECK did they come up with that?.. and the left wing christians think somehow the government is going to magically begin doing the work Jesus instructed for the Church. Each of these factions are OUT OF THEIR MINDS in delusions. They have an imagination that is not matched by the reality of the Planet we live on or human nature. -CRAZY-. It is NOT the role of government to do the work of the Church, and it is also not to judge people’s lives or control their bodies. If the people who think they are supposed to spend their time getting the govts. to do god’s work just went out and obeyed Jesus there would not be any more hungry, thirsty, etc.. Bad priorities, bad individual choices. Some people never learn.

That is why Jesus’ instructions are so simple, because you do not know what you do not know, but you do know when someone is hungry, thirsty, sick, hard working, honest, etc.. Things you can see are what they are, and you do not know what you do not know, so just follow the instructions and quit trying to think you can manage the details.. follow instructions and judge not, because you ain’t that smart.  Your doctrines are excuses to not follow instructions, and that’s just you being scared. Let the details you are so worried about work themselves out. Jesus also spoke about your worry.

“Take therefore no thought for the next day: for the next day shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” -Jesus

It is not a part of the instructions to worry about the details of other people’s lives, or what they do with their money or whatever else. Your business is to follow the instructions, love unconditionally, and don’t worry about the details, mind your own business. All you can see is what is on your radar screen, and your technology is limited to your own event horizon. Mind your own business. You simply do not know what you do not know. Focus on the immense value that -you- provide. You have no control over what others think, and you have -zero- to do with it. When you are conscious, one of your thoughts is infinitely more powerful than others as those thoughts relate to you, and vice-versa. Other people are going to have their own thoughts. When you make a judgment call that takes you outside the realm of unconditional love, well.. that is your fear, you’re scared, don’t inflict your fear on the lives of others because you can’t handle not being in control. You are not in control of anything but you.. so quit kidding yourself and get out of the way of the universe. This thing is happening with or without your blessing.

On a personal note, I do not define myself as a Christian, because what I think is not in line with Western Doctrinal Christianity. This being said, I love Jesus. I am grateful for his life and his work. I may not believe all the “right”  things, or the “Fundamentals” as people call them, but I also do not want to think about what my life would be like without that ability to have thoughts, and to recognize my heart, or “I-ness”, my consciousness, and the utter responsibility  that comes with it.

From what I can tell, Jesus was all about that.

Humans are beautiful when we are at our best

It’s true. We humans can do some pretty amazing thing when we put our minds to it.

humans are beautiful when we are at our best

All those who misuse the powers of the universe for selfish ends find sooner or later that they must relinquish their hold upon their ill-gotten gains; and the penalty they pay is frightful indeed. To produce substance to feed the poor, to heal at a touch a withered hand, to raise the dead, and even to set aside natural law and perform, by the magic of alchemy, miracles of infinite wonder–this seems to mankind to be the ultimate in their use of heaven’s grace. -Sainte Germaine

We fought for you until you woke up

This is a dream you had, and then it came true

We were in the same position you were in, and then we were telling you just like someone told us, that’s all. You knew the truth, and you slowly internalized it. Then, you heard it one more time and you acted on it. It’s never easy for anyone to admit being hoodwinked their whole life. We were ready for you, and since we were not partisan and political, we never said “I told you so”, because you were the next link in the chain to break free. Everyone was looking forward to your efforts and we were not going to ruin that by being spiteful and arrogant. Someone told us once, too. Then we told you.

The work you did was amazing, and it helped change everything and they thanked you for telling them, and for doing what you did to wake them up.

your beautiful, awkward epiphany.

i'm glad you had a good time at the mall.... but.

they thanked you for telling them and doing what you did to wake them up

Yesterdays post about Black Friday

Black Friday is for Stupid People who Suck

Oh my gosh, how awful. I have not watched the news today but I wonder how many people got trampled. What a lot of embarrassing weirdness about our “culture”.

They are not relevant until they wait in line overnight to buy shit they don’t need, with borrowed fake money that they don’t really have, from some offshore private bank, owned by people who have utter contempt for us. Then, the day after the day they are supposed to be thankful for Family, they abandon them to buy them garbage, so all they can afford to feed them is genetically mutated food. America, you are a giant clown in space

Shop till you drop, or till you drop someone else.

What if our lives were about something really good instead?

Americans used to -make things- and disseminate them all over the world through business, and I’m not talking about weapons. The nature of Human life is to create.

Do you realize Santa hates you if you don’t conform?Santa hates you and he's a fat bastardHe took a really cool season, with all kinds of cool stories, and turned it into an expensive fiasco that helps prop up the lying media and the war machine.

Hanging around the house with Family all day telling cool stories with really great values should be enough. How wonderful. That sounds really lovely.
peace cost less Peace is cheaper than Santa

This was yesterday’s post about Thanksgiving. It was a nice day

Today’s post is my 22nd NaBloPoMo post

This was Thanksgiving 2012

I am thankful that Native American people were not decimated, because they have knowledge that was colonized out of Europe nearly 3000 years before Europeans built the ships they used to get here. There was a time when all of humanity had a balanced approach to life on Earth. With the rise of controlled agriculture and monotheism, came the rise of homogenization. This spread from the Fertile Crescent, into Europe and the rest of the world. Later, once European culture had been completely wiped out and replaced with an approach to life that separates humans from Earth and views our home as an enemy to be conquered and subjugated, it spread to North America and attempted to do the same here. Fortunately, thankfully, it failed. Now we have much to learn from the Native people of North America about living in balance. They can help us remember things buried deep within our DNA that tie us to the Earth and Sky. It is not ideological, it’s just what it is. We are humans and we might be able to remember who we are if we work at it.

it's the nature of consciousness to continue

Humans are so beautiful when we are at out best, and we accomplish amazing things, because it is the nature of consciousness to continue. Consciousness manifests in Individuals, each Individual is tied to Superconsciousness. This is a relationship of balance, because it is within each of us that we find the connection to Superconsciousness. We are basically good, not evil. We do not need forgiveness for being born, we were not born separate from anything. We are good. We choose health and peace and prosperity every  chance we can when we are honest with ourselves. In a non-subjugated world we would be free to implement every solution that would further our consciousness and our connection to the source Superconsciousness. These are Universal Laws that supersede the Law of Man. The Law of Man is only enforceable with fear and violence; threats, coercion, forced extortion of wealth and value from others. Universal Law needs no enforcement, because it simply is.

This sort of knowledge has been hidden from people, because for centuries the people who control others do not want people to realize how special we all are, they prefer us to be ignorant and docile and unaware, so we are easily controlled. There is a big waking-up happening, that is why there is a huge false information campaign happening about over-population, because the people who are freaked out if they are not in control want to depopulate Earth because they realize there are too many of us to control. There is enough for everyone, scarcity is a fabrication, a means of control, and a regulation. The giant organizations who say they want to end hunger and starvation are actually the Corporations who are poisoning the food and using genetic mutation to make these things they create and sell as though it is food incompatible with our base energy. those things they make for your ingestion lower your vibration.

I made this graphic, and I use it for my “logo”. The Wings represent Superconsciousness, the Star represents Individual Consciousness, and the Heart represents Practice.

wings, star and heart

We are happy when we are creating. We can’t help it. That is how humans manifest consciousness, and integrate reality, by creating. It is who we are. People who are afraid of themselves ridicule and belittle artists and creative people because our culture was extricated from us over centuries, and it is all they know, to fear themselves and their incredible, beautiful and creative minds. If a lot of these things you are reading are ringing true for you it is because it is ringing your DNA. It “resonates” with you. If you ask for knowledge you need to come to you, it will come to you. That is the Law, you are already connected to that knowledge.

Here is a neat little short story I wrote related to this subject.

A recent blog post along the same lines, too.

John Trudell is giving a brief explanation of what I attempted to relay in the first paragraph (Thank you John Trudell)

Today’s post is my 21st NaBloPoMo post

Yesterday’s post on Peace in the Middle East via Detroit.

Peace is possible

Semitic kidsI grew up in Southeastern Michigan, near Detroit. Actually, right on the City Limits line. I was actually born in the City of Detroit. I am very proud of that. I get more proud of that each year.

One of the things I remember is learning a really cool lesson from someone who was teaching me about immigration. I do not remember who it is now. It was a long time ago.

What they told me is people come to the United States for many reasons. Sometimes they come because they are sick and tired of the fighting where they live. Sometimes people move to the US and purposely live in proximity to other groups of people who, if they were back in their homeland would be their enemies. They do this because they are familiar with them, and they love them, and they want to be at peace with them. In the US, they have the option of peace. Sometimes maybe they do not like them, but at least they do not have to be at war with them. Which is not a bad decision to make. I mean, be realistic here, you cannot like everyone. I never met anyone who likes everyone.

Of course this is an irony, considering the fact that the US is a Military Empire that pretty much seems to love war, and loves to create strife among people in other parts of the world if it can mean some quick profits for one of our Government’s Corporate Sponsors. But the point is, peace is possible. People actually move here to be away from war, even though this Country seems to be in love with it.

I also lived right next door to another pretty cool town, this town has a high concentration of Jewish people, there are lots of Jewish Americans and Israeli immigrants. Growing populations in that part of the Country were the Arab and Persian populations, as well as the Palestinians. Plenty of Muslim people were moving into that town with so many Jewish people. In fact, I remember riding my bike passed one intersection all the time. There was a Mosque on one side of the street and a Temple on the other. How nice for them, they do not have to be at war. I am sure they have disagreements about what is happening in the place that is “back home” for them, but they live here, and they are not interested in bringing that war to the US. They moved here so they could live among each other in peace. I can totally get down with that.

I’m way beyond grateful to have the influence of so many people from all over the world, it is awe inspiring to be so lucky. You have no idea how often I just stop what I am doing and reflect on all the far out people I have met from all over the world, and from right here in the US, and just relish in my good fortune. I’m a lucky f@&#in’ Pollack.

I wish for the people in the Middle East that they can learn some lessons from my neighbors and friends, their American Cousins, I really do, I’m not kidding. They would be so much better for it. I know I am.

Have some nice Holidays.

PEACE.

I have to make a post for NaBloPoMo. I am just doing stream of consciousness and a tired mind can come up with some stuff you don’t even realize is happening.

I have never played Backgammon, Poker or Ucher.

I have played Monopoly, Twister, and Life.

The High School of Life

Larry had a dirty mind, a beautiful dirty mind

Larry had a dirty mind and a good brain

Larry Fisher. Larry Fisher was a Chef at a restaurant where I worked. Larry familiarized me with a concept about life, which as far as I know, he initiated. “The High School of Life”. “It’s the High School of Life Rob”.

Larry asked everyone, every day, several times a day, whether there was life after High School. I think Larry was convinced that life indeed ended after High School, and that everything after High School was some kind of transcended, or possibly distended extension of High School. Poor thing. Larry was easily one of the funniest and smartest people I knew up to that point, and without a doubt one of the most memorable since. After all I am writing about him 25 years later, and he is the only person whose actual name I am using in this essay (Get it? essay.. High School.. Ok). He was matriculating his High School career with grace and humor. I was at that Restaurant right after I had pretty much put the cap on my baseball efforts. This thing about Larry could go on longer, but some things are not for the Public Way.

When I was a kid the only thing I ever thought about doing when I grew up is baseball. I was weird for baseball. I had rituals and routines and habits and drills and all that. 1000 swings at imaginary baseballs every single day, wrist rollers, hand-eye coordination exercises, just every single device and technique I could learn. Listening to the creepy, nosy lady next-door complain about me minding my own business in my Dad’s back yard swinging my baseball bat over and over and over. “He’ll be out there all day long swinging that stupid baseball bat”. I could not imagine how cool it would be to actually, one day, get a paycheck for doing this thing I got lost in every chance I could. That all changed when I reached the point when I was actually playing 9 inning games, 5 or 6 days per week. I was not getting paid, not yet, but I was playing as much baseball as some guys who were getting paid, and some of the players on my team and on opposing teams were getting paychecks, they had contracts.

It was one of those rare moments in life where you are climbing a rock face, you are all by yourself, you can see the sweat dripping off your arms, and you are pulling your eye level to that point where you can just barely see over the peak of that rock at the very top and kind of get a feel for what a future on the other side of that will look like and what it will feel like to set the next set of goals. There are two things about playing 9 innings of baseball, every single day when you are in your early 20’s. 1. It’s really, seriously, very difficult even when you are young, especially when you have a day job. 2. You realize that you are looking down a road in life that you’ve always thought you wanted to take, just as you are also that point in your life where so many other things in life are opening up to you.

Here’s the thing about my situation. I was an unsigned player. I never got paid, I was not quite good enough, according to the business offices, to get paid. I was however, good enough to pay with paid players on certain types of teams. Basically, I was recognized, or “approved”. Today, the common term for a guy like this is “unsigned free-agent”. I was respected enough that the teams could trust their players with me. They knew I was not going to get them hurt, and that I was not going to make mistakes. Just the insurance on even a low-level minor leaguer or something is an investment. It’s money, it’s business. They have strict rules about anything having to do with your safety.

there is nothing in life except baseball

weird for baseball

That’s really important, there is a big difference between mistakes and errors. Everyone makes errors. You boot it, or some part of your body has a memory lapse and the ball slips out of your hand, or just some other thing happens that is the result of a physical malfunction. But not everyone makes mistakes. I never made mistakes. A mistake is when you do the wrong thing, and when you do the wrong thing, that’s when people are at risk. If another player is expecting you to do the task that is expected in a given situation, and it is the correct task, and it is what is expected by everyone out there, and then you do something else, people may not be ready to adjust, and that is when crazy stuff happens.

It also costs more games than errors. For sure, 100%. Doing the wrong thing the right way, is 100% worse than doing the right thing the wrong way. It is possible to look really beautiful and athletic and artistic while doing the wrong thing and costing a run or costing a game. It is also possible to look ridiculous while doing the right thing the wrong way. The latter is far more acceptable. It’s better to look stupid doing the right thing wrong, than to look brilliant doing the wrong thing right. I never made mistakes, I rarely made errors, and I had the tools. I just did not have the grind in me to be able to play 9 innings a game, every day.

By the end of games I would be thinking about other things, and wondering what other things I could be doing, and if I might be missing something in life by being on a ball field all the time. When you have thoughts like that, it’s time to make a decision.

I was out there pretty much by myself. I had a cool boss who understood my schedule needs, yes of course I had a day job, and some of the guys I played with didn’t because they had contracts. It was a difficult and very competitive situation and it was more than I could do alone. When you see those ballplayers on TV talking about their families and how they could not have done it without them, it’s the truth. You can’t make it out there on your own. It’s nothing personal, but it’s basically your tough luck if you don’t have a support network like a family.

Well, what in the world is the point, and what does this have to do with the “High School of Life”? Lots, it has a lot to do with it because it reminds me of “the talk”. Basically, you have to be good enough. “The talk” is what you get when you meet a scout who is going to introduce to you to the game; to the Association, which are terms used for the MLB.

“It’s not because somebody knows somebody or because you can afford it, or because someone from the Lodge made a phone call, or gave some sorry excuse for a Coach 50$ to play you, it’s because you’re good enough to be here, and the moment you are not good enough to be here, you are not going to be here.” This is the Private Sector, it’s not the Public High School where some tenured, bitter loser is making decisions, you need to make sure that every single time you get off the field with those people, you forget everything they tell you and remember everything you know.” You’re a ballplayer, and they are working in the Public Sector because they are not good enough to be around guys like you.” They wanted to be you but they couldn’t hack it. “You have to remember to forget everything they tell you, and remember to remember who you are and what we tell you.”

That is the talk. That is the talk I got. There are variations of the talk, for different situations, but essentially, that’s it in a nutshell. It’s a business talk. It’s a Private Sector vs. Public Sector talk.

Aaaaand it’s true. That is why Larry Fisher was so smart, because he knew. He knew that some people graduated and some people didn’t. Some people are actually capable and competent, and some people are dependent and political. It’s true. I can tell you with complete confidence that the guys playing in the show are all there because they are good enough to be there. It is super hard to get to where they are. If there were better players, they would be there. That’s why scouts go all over the Planet, looking for the best players from almost every continent. Because it’s a BUSINESS, it is money and resources. They invest so much money and they are not going to waste it being political or picking favorites or being racist, or whatever, they’re just not.

“If you can play, we’ll find you.”

Wasted Treasure: Repurposing windows

4 sliding glass doors

I do not believe that there are people who want to see this go to waste. There are so many things that can be done with old sliding glass doors. It’s wrong, it’s just sick and wrong and that’s all it is.

Here is a Brief list, a BRIEF list of what can be done with these:

  • Windows for greenhouses
  • Solar hot water heater
  • passive solar convection heat
  • Gigantic powerless food dehydrator

So yeah, try to get an idea, will ya? Not to mention just making a large window for your camp, or a mobile home; strip the glass and use the panes independently, since they are double pane. If I had a place to use them there is NO WAY I would walk away from this..

Ok? So yeah, that’s my post today. And speaking of energy, here, check out this link and get a little ebook that will tell you all about how your TV is a liar about energy (I know, big surprise right?), and this one with info about A.L.E.C and about who was -really- behind the Solyndra scandal, and guess what, it was not Heir Savior like the Republicans claim (I know, big surprise right? politicians lying). And I wrote these things in 2006, so whatever, catch up will ya!

Keyword Tool : Why dirty minds are easily controlled

I have a character for a graphic novel I am working on (not the same as the other, regular, non-picture novel). He is a colorful character and he, of course, as any aspiring popular trend, has a catch phrase. I am not going to reveal the catch phrase here, but I did tell a friend. And, she said it sounded like it could be interpreted as “dirty”. Well, it’s not dirty, but I told her the only way to keep people with dirty minds from hearing things dirty would be to not have speech. Otherwise, the flow of blood and the wave of screaming from the outbreak of mutilated eardrums would be more than most people could handle. I never worry about the sick shit going on in other people’s imagination. I have enough of my own, I guess.
